Scenes of the 2012 Counterpoint Music + Arts Festival (BOAC Photos/Video)
Back in late September, the inaugural Counterpoint Music + Arts Festival was held just south of Atlanta. Headliners included Skrillex, Bassnectar, Avicii, Pretty Lights and many other superstars in the festival circuit. The successful 3-day event was produced by C3 Presents, the organizers of Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, and MCP Presents, the organizers of Camp Bisco. In other words, it was a success from the beginning.
As proof, some of the “others” mentioned above were Big Boi, A-Trak, Steve Angello (of Swedish House Mafia), M83, Crystal Castles, Toro Y Moi, Wale, Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, Theophilus London, Lotus, Washed Out, Atmosphere, Big Gigantic, Ghostland Observatory, Polica, Laidback Luke and yet more.
For those who missed out on all the fun or would like to relive the experience, we’ve put together enough Counterpoint media to keep you busy all night, and maybe even tomorrow morning. Other than a little rain and the subsequent cancellation of M83 as a result, it was a damn near perfect and much more enjoyable than the Bonnaroo heat. These are scenes from Friday and Saturday of the festival, as we weren’t able to make it down for Thursday’s festivities due to prior obligations.
Photos have been organized into separate days and categorized into live music, fan, and festival grounds photos. There’s also a snazzy recap video below (watch in HD) if you’re looking for some motion versus stills in order take you back.
Big ups to Brendan Donohue of Pureform Media for holding it down by himself for Friday and Saturday coverage of the festival. What a trooper.
