Tonight: Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band w/ The Great Barrier Reefs at Exit/In (Event)
Dig out your party pants and grab your dancing shoes, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band are performing tonight at Exit/In in Nashville. For 10 solid years and averaging 150 shows per year, the Big Fat Booty Band have been fine tuning their craft, the act of spreading joy and funky fun wherever they happen to be and tonight we’re fortunate enough to receive those blessings. As testament to the wide range of talent found within the six-piece band, and their true sense of swag, the group has now revealed an excellent music video for “LOVIN” off their 2012 album Doin’ It Hard, available for purchase via the band’s website or likely at tonight’s show.
The party starts at 9 p.m. with tickets are available for $10 online or at the door.
The Great Barrier Reefs will be providing the opening support for tonight’s show and require your early attendance at 9 p.m. sharp people! If you’ve never heard of the Murfreesboro-based group, then you’re in for a treat. Honestly one of my favorite local groups due to lead singer Tony Hartman’s use of the steel pan. Bass player Taylor Lonardo, saxophone player Josh Dunlap, drummer Matthew Heller and guitarist Rheal Janelle make up the rest of the band to form the talented jazz fusion/funk outfit. Watch the video below for a taste of tonight.
