Friday’s press conference at the Moog Music Factory, (from left) with AC Entertainment President Ashley Capps, Sr. Marketing and Brand Manager of Moog Music Emmy Parker, and The Google Doodler team.

The only complaint I think anyone had was that it seemed like it ended before it even started. This year the festival was scaled back to a two-day event, with a performance from Justice as the pre-party on Thursday night. But the message was clear: we want three days. After attending the press conference, I found out that Moogfest plans to return to a three-day event, and it simply was an issue of construction, according to AC Entertainment President Ashley Capps. As for the growth of the festival and plans of expansion? Sr. Marketing & Brand Manager of Moog Music Emmy Parker reassured that the festival has no plans to outgrow Asheville, and yes, it will never go mainstream—it will always stay true to the central idea of honoring Bob Moog.
