Miguel at Limelight (Show Review)
During the song, women abandoned understandable verbal admiration for high-pitched screams and seductive moves that changed the vibrations of the setting. Where were the ushers with the fans? Where was the shrink to control this hyper-sexual atmosphere!? I imagine if ladies themselves; they too were under the singer’s trance. As Miguel serenaded the crowd, his band accompanied him on every track with driving guitars, drum pads, and personalities that were just as tailor made for him as was his suit. The R&B star was dressed much like a 60′s Doo-Wop singer who runs numbers on the low, nonetheless it was another puzzle piece in his live show. It served as visual support to an already superb concert. The cohesiveness of his music, hairstyle, and attire built an experience that was quite soulful and daring for an R&B artist in 2012.
