Leftover Salmon: Rowdy on the Road at WorkPlay in Birmingham (Exclusive Interview)
Back from an eight-year musical departure, Boulder’s Leftover Salmon, who create self-described “polyethnic cajun slamgrass” music, have literally returned from the woods with a brand new studio album “Aquatic Hitchhiker,” dubbed by Cincy Groove as one of Leftover’s “very best projects, full of sweet harmony laced compositions, and instrumentally diverse passages.”
Currently on tour, Leftover Salmon stopped to perform at Birmingham’s WorkPlay Theater, where Greg Kubik of Kubik Productions caught up with mandolinist/guitarist Drew Emmitt and vocalist/guitarist/washboard player Vince Herman to speak on Salmon’s current album and the fictitious luxuries of life on the road.
